You can visit this thread if you wanna to explore about Non Photo Realistic style using DAZ assets. Thats also means you need to learn how to use those tools first. So use dedicated 3delight shader if possible. Yeah in some case it doesnt matter but in most cases it wil give you troubles than worth. If understood right then let me know and aside of that can you pllllzzz recommend any good education video tutorials on cartoon rendering or anything of daz3d relevant. So obviously if understood IRAY matts are special to relaistic rendering and make NO sense if trying to carttoon things.
Well you were both right have to say as i tried my best to NOT add any iray matts and the same video (give or take small tweaks to animation) took 45sec
It would be a good experiment to take that same simple test and make sure everything has a 3delight shader and see how long it takes. as in, 99% of your image renders in 1 minute and the face and hair (just a small piece of the image) take another 15 minutes (well, that might be shorter with your machine having so many cores). in particular, modern iray hair (as well as skin) can take a VERY long time to render in 3delight. Would it be a problem if it used iray mats.
